A lot of us don't make the time to print out their digital photos, but it's still one of the greatest gifts you can give. I treasure pictures as a reminder of a good memory, an adventure to remember.

That's exactly why I took this photo when Saal asked me to test out one of their products. The 'sea' has a calming and relaxing effect on me & I always get drawn to it. Even during my mediations, I just love to listen to the sound of the waves - it's the ultimate feeling of freedom. It reminds me of carefree times, vacation, endless long walks during summer & that anything's still possible. A perfect wall decoration for my soon-to-be project- & meditation room.

That's why I chose to print this exact image on a canvas. I love how it turned out! The colors and contrast of the canvas are printed exactly the way I edited them on my computer. The quality of the canvas is really good too, so I do recommend Saal if you decide to revamp your room with your pictures!

I'm sure I'll order at Saal if I'm need of more wall art or prints. I hope this inspires you to get cracking as well. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

Years ago I used to be all about kitsch decorations and seventies (inspired) goodies cluttering up my apartment. Thankfully, those days are long gone and I've grown to love a more minimal setting. Me & Yoni had the honor to host a Halloween event for a fun selected bunch of girls and this was the result of our Halloween table decorating colab.

As you can see, you don't need a lot of crazy items to make your table Halloween-proof. It will  even look better if you only have a few eye-catchers, while you leave the rest crisp & clean. Provide your guests with some scary snacks (vampire teeth, oranges with scary faces,...), buy a (skull) garland, add black flowers (I spraypainted them myself) and put them in playful & colorful vases, find some cute napkins that match your color scheme (without going overboard) and last but not least; add skulls and other scary decorations. If you can't find any deco to your liking, why not spraypaint or redecorate the tacky ones you still have on your attic and make them look super awesome again? It doesn't have to be complicated for it to look great!

You don't want to go overboard on Halloween & you still want to look somewhat classy? Why don't you make yourself a beautiful flower crown? I know you can find them in many shops, but if you want an impressive one, you might have to pay more than you truly want to. Plus, you'll get bonus points because you did it yourself!

I promise, I'm not tricking (or am I? ;-)) you into anything and it won't take up a lot of your time. Just switch off the tv for an evening and get crafty, it'll make you feel calm and relaxed - a prefect way to end your day!

  • a big ribbon
  • plastic/fabric flowers
  • black spray paint
  • scissors
  • a sewing kit

It's seriously easy peasy. Spray paint the flowers black and let them dry for a few hours. Now you'll have enough time to prep some food, get that laundry & dishwashing done - good times, indeed! Put on your favorite podcast to get into the zone and light a candle to make things extra cosy. You can give your flowers another layer of paint in between, but I decided not to do that, since I liked the way bits of colors were still showing.
Now it's time to get crackin'! Cut pieces of flowers you'd like on your headpiece and make a nice composition. Sew each flower separate on the ribbon and don't forget to fit it regularly. You might find spots that need that extra umph - maybe a leaf here or there can spice things up. Don't worry if you're no a sewing queen, I'm not either! But here's a little secret: nobody will ever know! (since nobody will ever see the back of the ribbon, unless you show them... you naughty thing!) Just go with your gut - you're the master of your own creation!

And there you you have it; a beautiful flower headpiece made with your very own hands! I feel like I can join the 'American Horror Story' coven together with my scary twin sister, how about you?
