I simply love decorating and I've been wanting to do a house tour on the blog for a while now, but honestly... there's still a long way to go to get the coziness factor to the ultimate maximum in our rental home. The good news is that you'll be able to follow the process up close while we're working hard to get our space to look exactly how we want it to. Also, there will be plenty of DIYs on the blog soon that will hopefully inspire you to do the same. Here are a few of my favorite things in the house. Enjoy!
This time around, I really wanted 'different' and more interesting Halloween decorations. I couldn't handle the typical 'ugly' witches, spiders and skeletons you find in decorations shops, so I decided to pimp an old skull I found in my attic. It's the perfect centerpiece to give your Halloween table that extra 'umph', it cost me nearly nothing and it only took me 2 hours (I might be slow) to get it finished. Et voila, mission accomplished! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
WHAT DO YOU NEED + HOW DOES IT WORK?
◆ Collect your Halloween deco, Decopatch Paperpatch glue, brushes, Paperpatch paper of choice ◆ Tear your paper into small pieces (you can use different kinds of paper, if you like!) ◆ Paint glue onto your object and make sure you cover an area bigger than the paper pieces ◆ Paint a thin coat over the paper (this will dry clear later) ◆ Leave the glue to dry to a glossy, clear finish ◆ You can use sparkles or anything else to finish off your masterpiece
