Hi, I’m Femke!

I believe in curiosity, creative chaos (the good kind) & building a LIFE that actually feels like yours.

I’m curious about different ways of living and working, ones that don’t revolve around constant urgency, pressure or the version of life we’re often handed without much choice. Somewhere along the way, I realised that productivity without intention drains more than it gives back. And still, I believe the most interesting things tend to happen just outside what feels safe, familiar or expected.

With that realisation, I chose to start doing things a little differently: not perfectly and definitely not without struggle. I’m still figuring things out, just more consciously. Femlee is a space where I document and explore that process: a slower, more intentional way of living and working, focused on simplicity, creativity and depth over excess.

Alongside that exploration, I work as a creative virtual assistant for entrepreneurs, organisations and creatives. I support behind the scenes - organising, creating, thinking along - so others can focus on what truly matters to them. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all systems or rigid ways of working. I believe in flexibility, trust and building things in a way that fits you.

Creativity has always been my compass. What started behind a camera evolved into a broader way of looking at life: slower where needed, playful where possible and always intentional. I believe in progress through small, consistent steps, honest work and leaving space to breathe with room for experimentation (and the occasional change of mind). Not because it’s easy, but because it allows you to build something without having to abandon yourself along the way.

Femlee is where creativity meets structure and where there’s enough freedom to breathe, play and grow. No perfection. No pressure. Just room to explore what works, over time.

    noun
    /ˈfɛm.lee/

Femlee comes from my name - Femke Leemans - and is often pronounced like family - which feels fitting.

It stands for connection, creative collaboration and doing things together without hierarchy or hustle culture. There’s a subtle feminist and slightly rebellious undercurrent: making space, trusting intuition and choosing softer, more conscious ways of working in a world that often pushes for more, faster, louder.

Femlee is about doing things differently: thoughtfully, creatively, and on your own terms.

  • I work alongside creative entrepreneurs and organisations
to make work feel lighter and a lot less overwhelming.

I take care of the things that quietly drain your time and energy,
so you can focus on what you actually love doing.

Not to control. Not to overcomplicate. But to think along, create clarity and keep things moving.

    Because good collaboration creates space.

Space for ideas. Space for growth. Space to enjoy the process again.

I believe in a way of working that’s intentional, playful and sustainable. Where progress doesn’t mean burnout. And success doesn’t mean losing yourself along the way.

  • I’ve learned that without intention, it’s easy to let external expectations dictate how we live and work. I used to believe in an “all or nothing” approach, until experience taught me that slow, consistent growth creates far more lasting impact.

This way of working leaves room for creativity, helps avoid burnout and allows people - and businesses - to evolve naturally.

    Less noise. More focus.
    Less pressure. More meaning.

That philosophy runs through everything I do.
